1 8 ½ x 11 piece of Warm and
1 piece of cardstock
Background and graphics
Hand sewing needle
Getting the graphics ready:
the graphics program you use. (I use Microsoft Publisher.)
a tag template or make your own.
Copy and paste as many tags as you would like to make or as many as
you can to fill your page. Make sure you leave at least ½ between the tags. I can get 5 (2 Ό
x 4) tags on one sheet.
a background on your tags.
and resize the graphic(s) you wish to use.
You can also use a graphic from one of Cheryls cards. They work
any text you wish to use.
Preparing to print:
- Cut a
piece of muslin slightly smaller than an 8 ½ x 11 piece of cardstock.
scotch tape to tape the muslin to the cardstock at the top and bottom, all
the way across or you can use whichever method you prefer for printing on
the cardstock with the muslin in your printer.
Printing and finishing:
the tags you designed onto your muslin. DO NOT CUT THEM OUT YET!
the printed piece of muslin from the cardstock.
the second piece of muslin and the batting the same size as your printed
piece of muslin.
your batting on the bottom, the blank piece of muslin in the middle and
the printed muslin (face down) on the top.
along the outside of your tags leaving about 3/4 opening at one end to
turn them. You should be able to
see the print on the back of the muslin.
Sew just outside of the lines.
your tags out with about a Ό seam allowance and turn them.
the opening closed.
